Glen J. Nowak

Glen Nowak is the Associate Director of Communications for the National Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. He is on leave from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism where he holds an appointment as an associate professor of advertising. Dr. Nowak’s research interests include consumer processing of computer-mediated and interactive messages, social marketing, health communications, and consumer privacy concerns. His research has been published in Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Direct Marketing, Journal of Current Issues and Research and Advertising, and Social Marketing Quarterly. He received his doctorate in mass communication in 1990 from the University of Wisconsin.
